What"s the latest on the Business Intelligence space in India?

Today, more and more customers are recognising the need to assess and enhance the quality of data as bad quality data results in wrong decisions. Business Objects with the help of its data quality solution which has been developed after acquiring FirstLogic is helping customers to meet data quality requirements and more specifically in the telecom space where data quality is required to match customer records and identify customers with multiple connections to fulfil regulatory requirements.

In some projects it took longer for users to adapt to Business Intelligence solutions because of changed management issues. To avoid this, organisations are now deploying latest BI solutions and using BI in the software used by people in their day-to-day life. It is being embedded in familiar software such as Excel and Power point.

You regularly interact with CIOs on various frontiers. What is the latest you hear from them?

As we interact more and more with the C level, we know that the senior business executives of customer organisations want the CIOs to deploy performance balanced scorecards, KPI-based dashboard solutions for managing enterprise performance. In 2006 Crystal Xcelsius was launched, which allows users to add interactive Flash graphics to Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
