SonicWALL has introduced its Continuous Data Protection (CDP) Version 2.2 backup and recovery solution in the Indian market.
SonicWALL CDP is an appliance-based solution that provides both onsite and offsite data protection for the small and mid-sized businesses. These solutions are said to cover all available options including instant recovery, local archiving, offsite data backup and bare metal recovery.
Making the announcement, Shubhomoy Biswas, country manager-India, SonicWALL stated, "SonicWALL CDP 2.2 is a unique and effective data protection solution. The new SonicWALL CDP solutions offer SMB users and their IT providers worldwide more of what they need, technology that solves problems rather than adding to their administrative burden. We are pleased to provide this enhancement to the product line just seven months after the initial introduction of SonicWALL CDP."
The new version features a simple user interface enabling fast retrieval of current and previous file versions and reporting tools which facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition to this, the solution also reduces the risk of permanent data loss due to its ongoing backup facility.
Also, the bare-metal recovery and local archiving capabilities are said to accelerate the time to recovery, after a major failure. Using the SonicWALL Bare Metal/Local Archiving, administrators can recover an entire system through a single management interface which allows them to restore the operating system, settings and applications of workstations and servers.
The SonicWALL CDP Version 2.2 is available in four models i.e. CDP 1440i, the CDP 2440i, the CDP 3440i and the CDP 4440i. These models can scale from 15 to an unrestricted number of users.
