Satyam Computer Services and Oracle Asia Pacific have announced a strategic alliance that will help enterprises in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region accelerate business intelligence (BI) implementations.
“This alliance strengthens Satyam’s commitment to accelerate its presence in the APAC market, particularly in the BI space,” said Virender Aggarwal, Satyam’s director and senior vice president, APAC and MEIA. “Traditional BI solutions tend to be complex and expensive, which limits their use. This alliance will make BI more accessible across all levels of Asian enterprises, enabling faster, more effective business decisions.”
iDecisions, Satyam’s BI accelerator, will become the first application to be ported to Oracle’s Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (BIEE), a hot-pluggable, standards-based BI platform. The combined solution will be available for multiple verticals, including banking, telecommunications, and insurance.
“Oracle BIEE’s hot-pluggable design allows it to integrate with Oracle and non-Oracle applications and infrastructure software, helping organisations in Asia maximize the value of their existing data sources and IT investments,” said Ricky Kapur, general manager, Business Intelligence, Oracle Asia Pacific. “Our collaboration with Satyam will enhance the ability of organisations to benefit from quick deployment and faster return-on-investment on their BI implementations.”
According to Venkat Narayanan, vice president, Satyam, “By porting the iDecisions framework to the Oracle BIEE’s technology stack, Satyam and Oracle provide a comprehensive solution that brings greater business visibility and insight to users.”
