Avaya Introduces Communication Manager 4.0

Avaya has launched Communication Manager 4.0, an Internet Protocol (IP) telephony platform, which claims to provide enterprise customers with an ability to build more flexible communication networks to deliver business continuity capabilities.
Avaya Communication Manager 4.0 claims to combine business continuity and increased capacity, with mobility and branch office enhancements. It boasts of features that allow communication capabilities across multiple devices in multiple locations.
"Enterprises want value from network applications integrated into their business models for increased productivity and efficiency. With Avaya Communication Manager 4.0, we're delivering on those demands. Plus, network management, monitoring and analysis applications are built into the Avaya Communication Manager 4.0 offer, bringing more value to businesses," claims Carl Baptiste, vice president, product management, Global Communications Solutions, Avaya.
Avaya has also introduced the Avaya G860 Media Gateway, which claims to support open-standards based SIP connectivity for Communication Manager.
The Avaya Communication Manager 4.0 software also supports Avaya IG550 Integrated Gateway, an IP voice gateway to integrate with Juniper Networks' new J4350 and J6350 J-series routers to deliver communications applications for branch offices.
