Devon IT Launches India Roadshow With IBM In Bangalore

Devon IT launched a three-city joint-roadshow at Leela Palace in Bangalore with IBM( to introduce its India operations and the companies' alternative desktop computing solutions. The roadshow will run through March 8 and events will also be held in Mumbai and Delhi.
Executives from Devon IT and IBM will meet with resellers, customers, and partners at various office locations to outline the companies' various alternative desktop solutions and components, including the IBM Virtual Client Solution (VCS) and Workstation Blades, Devon IT thin clients and connection broker software, and other vendor solutions.
"The launch of our operations in India is a monumental step for Devon IT," says Joe Makoid, president of Devon IT. "We have gauged significant interest for alternative desktop solutions from various verticals in this region. There is no better partner to work with in this region or in server-based computing than IBM, and we look forward to extending our relationship outside the United Sates and Europe."
The speakers included Joe Makoid, President of Devon IT, discussing the various alternative desktop channels; Sunil Bangalore, General Manager, IBM, India Systems and Technology Lab discussing Devon IT and IBM's relationship and capabilities in India; Dr. Tom Bradicich, IBM Fellow and vice president IBM Rack, Blade and x86 Servers, discussing the benefits of server-hosted desktops; Stephane Verdy, CTO of Devon IT, and outlining virtual hosted clients; and Sudhir Dhawan, CTO, Technology and Solutions, of IBM, providing technical insight and education.
