HCL Infosystems has announced a new technology that will enable computer users to recover all lost data with the help of its ’mixedware’ named EC2.
The new tool, known as Embedded Continuity and Control (EC2) technology, is being made available in India by HCL in its new range of notebook computers and laptops.
The technology is software with a component embedded in the hardware that automatically stores and replicates "a complete image of its own working state" of a file including system files at regular intervals.
According to George Paul, executive vice-president, HCL Infosystems, "The new innovation will restore the lost data and system files in minutes, and HCL hopes this global innovation will be a tremendous value addition to Indian users of PCs."
