F-Secure has announced a partnership with Airtel Broadband & Telephone Services (B&TS), to provide data security to the company’s broadband subscribers across the country.
Under the agreement, Airtel will offer its broadband customers F-Secure’s security solutions through the Airtel PC Secure service. The service offers clients security, including proactive protection through F-Secure’s DeepGuard technology, parental control as well as protection from all of today’s most common data security threats including phishing, viruses, spyware, malware and Trojans – all integrated into an automatically updated package.
Speaking about the partnership, Atul Bindal, president, Airtel Broadband & Telephone Services, said, “Our alliance with F-Secure is our endeavour to address the increasing security needs of our customers and provide them with a safe online environment while surfing the Internet.”
Kimmo Alkio, president and CEO of F-Secure said, “F-Secure’s partnership with Airtel is another important milestone for us in India. Airtel has shown great forward thinking in the way it approaches and sustains its customers. Their endeavour to provide the power of limitless discovery on the Internet and 100% customer satisfaction are values we strongly support. By offering superior data security services to their customers we hope to bolster their continued success.”
F-Secure’s value added service will be integrated into the monthly Internet subscription in a phased manner. In the first phase the Airtel PC Secure service will be immediately offered to Airtel broadband home users. The service for business users will be available later.
