EMC And PSG College Sign Education Agreement

EMC announced that the PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore has signed an agreement with EMC (Benelux) B.V. SARL, a subsidiary of EMC Corporation, to join the EMC Academic Alliance Programme (EAA) in India. Under this programme, PSG College of Technology will offer a course in Information storage technology to its students starting from January 2008.
As part of the EAA, PSG College of Technology will receive vendor agnostic curriculum, course content, learning materials, faculty trainings and software simulators developed by EMC, to provide training to their students. EMC will also provide programme support in terms of examination papers and sample assignments.
Commenting on the significance of the association, Dr. R Rudramoorthy, principal, PSG College of Technology said "PSG is committed to offer quality technical education to its students. We are happy to partner with the world person in charge in information infrastructure solutions. This agreement with EMC will enable our students to learn about the latest technologies in the information storage and management space, the fastest growing segment of the IT industry."
According to Manoj Chugh, president, EMC India & SAARC region, "We are pleased with the progress of our education programme in India. We have already tied up with over 75 leading education institutions in India under the EAA program and are likely to cross the 100 mark very soon. We are proud to partner with PSG College, one of the leading IT education providers in Coimbatore under EAA."
On the successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate from PSG College of Technology and EMC acknowledging the completion of the course.
