IBM has announced an agreement with MBD Alchemie an online educational academy, to provide software, systems and services to manage the MBD Alchemie e-learning portal. Through this partnership, MBD Alchemie and IBM will work together to create a knowledge portal using IBM technology for students, parents, teachers, institutions, government and corporates to access educational content.
"Globally and in India, IBM is the leading solution provider for the educational sector and has made significant strides in helping educational organisations innovate and stay ahead of the game. By providing MBD Alchemie with our breadth of products and services we are further proving our commitment to the growing SMB segment in India and providing them with a competitive edge that will help them continue as a leader in the e-learning space in India," said Ramesh Narsimhan, Director – General Business, IBM India/South Asia. "We look forward to working with MBD Alchemie to build an educational ecosystem for millions of students and provide them with quality content that will help them successfully move to the next level."
"Our aim is to create a definitive educational portal which not only has world class content but also stands out for its functionality in terms of user interface, navigation, high-level of interactivity and provides the user with a unique experience. After close evaluation of top vendors in the market, we realised this was only possible with IBM's software, systems and services," says Monica Malhotra Kandhari, Sr. Director, MBD Group.
As a part of the agreement, MBD Alchemie's portal will be hosted on the international site of IBM in the government and education space and its data centre will be created on IBM technologies. IBM Global will also participate closely in MBD Alchemie marketing initiatives for the next one year.
