Tulip Bags Assam State Wide Area Network Project

Tulip IT Services Ltd. has been awarded the Assam State Wide Area Network Project. The project will be implemented on Build Own Operate & Transfer (BOOT) model and the total value of the project is in excess of Rs. 57.72 Crores. Tulip IT Services will deploy, manage and operate the entire network for a period of 5 years.
The scope of the project includes supply and installation of network equipment across the State, as well as operation and maintenance of the project for a period of 5 years. The network supports data, voice and video, and will enable the State to implement various e-Governance initiatives. This will be a total IP Network based on open standards having scalability and high capacity. It is planned to meet the present and future requirements of the Government of Assam.
Commenting on the development, Lt. Col. H.S. Bedi, VSM, Chairman & M D, Tulip IT Services Ltd, said, "We are very proud to be associated with the Assam SWAN and our previous experiences in Haryana and West Bengal will help us immensely in ensuring successful implementation of the project. Our technology expertise and our in-depth experience in setting up eGovernance infrastructure made us the partner of choice in setting up of e-governance infrastructure in the Country."

Mk Yadava (IFS), Managing Director, Assam Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. stated, "We are glad to award Tulip IT Services with this huge responsibility of setting up the State Wide Area Network of Assam. We have trusted Tulip IT Services as our partners for this mission after extensive evaluation of their strengths and their technical and commercial offer."
