Artech India, one of the pioneers of multilingual softwares, has announced the release of Akshar Office, a complete office productivity suite. Akshar Office is an affordable alternative for corporates, which are looking at reducing their license fees and do not want to compromise on quality.
Prior to Akshar Office, Artech has marked success with products like Akshar Naveen and Artech ERP. Two major factors that distinguish it from other office suite brands in the market are its cost effectiveness and support.
"Organisations today are looking at reducing their IT costs and achieving a breakeven on their investments in shorter time periods. We are glad that Akshar Office will meet these requirements and is a perfect match for small, medium and large businesses." says Yogendra Tripathi, senior VP and country head, Artech Infosystems.
Akshar Office has a set of stable and well-developed office applications like word processor (Writer), spreadsheet (Calc), presentation manager (Impress), database (Base), math (Math) and drawing program (Draw).
As a fully-integrated tool, Akshar Office has a consistent user interface with PDF export facility. It also provides graphics facility. Its communication tools provide emailing integration. It has a facility to integrate with other e- mail clients like Lotus Notes, Outlook, Outlook Express etc. in addition to its default e-mail client. One can send the current opened document in Akshar Office to a mail recipient using the currently-installed mail client application in that PC.
Artech India also plans to back the product by comprehensive training and support so that users can easily accept the change and do not lose out on productivity. "The product is the result of an outstanding technical collaboration of all our software development and quality control divisions and a high level of integration," says Jeetendra Kapoor, technical head, Artech Infosystems.
