Dell, Microsoft Sign Large Account Reseller Agreement

Dell and Microsoft India have announced a large account reseller agreement (LAR) to provide integrated technology solutions to Indian enterprises. Under the agreement, the two companies will offer core infrastructure and business productivity solutions with a focus on the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI), Government; IT enabled Services (ITeS) and Manufacturing verticals.
Globally, Dell and Microsoft have developed a strong relationship. Dell is a Microsoft Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for Windows Desktop Operating System, Office, Windows Server and SQL Server and a hardware provider for Microsoft Unified Communications Solutions.
To provide high value integrated solutions to customers, Dell has further enhanced its support and service teams in India, improved its capabilities of implementing and deploying solutions and support, and strengthened technical support and service for Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Unix/Linux Migration, and System Management Server and Microsoft Operations Manager. Dell will provide its single-point of accountability, support service network that spans over 630 cities in India to support enterprises on a real-time basis.
"This agreement is a major step ahead in our efforts to provide Indian enterprises with scalable, manageable and secure technology solutions,” said Neelam Dhawan, managing director, Microsoft India. "As one of the fastest growing hardware solutions companies, Dell has significant reach within the enterprise segment, and we believe that our joint customers will benefit tremendously from our strategic relationship in India," added Dhawan.
