HCL Infosystems has announced the launch of its Professional Workstation 2008 Series for MCAD and DCC Professionals. Based on new Intel X 38 based on Garlow Intel Platform, Core Micro architecture Processors and next generation Nvidia Quadro FX370, the new workstation features a unified architecture.
According to the release, Professional Workstation 2008 Series will not only allow professionals to seamlessly integrate all their application needs on one platform but will also dynamically allocate geometry, shading, pixel, and compute processing power making it relevant for the graphics, animation and game developers. The NVIDIA Quadro FX 370 within the workstation enables creation and integration of real-time photo realistic effects into 3D models, scenes and designs.
The workstation promises to deliver high performance and will significantly allow professionals to shorten the production process and enhance productivity, as users can expect increase in performance on applications like AutoCAD 2008, Autodesk – Inventor, 3DS Max 2008 and Maya version 2008, Solidworks 2008, Dassault – CATIA, Adobe acrobat 3D.

Also Research Labs, Weather forecasting, Land records, GIS etc there is ever increasing demand for high graphics performance. This launch will help the design industry to improve their efficiency and cut costs and delivery cycles while producing a better quality output. This is the first in the series of launches that we have planned.
