i2 Technologies, provider of supply chain solutions, is now providing retailers with the tools necessary to constantly innovate business processes as the demands on business change.
Its new Advanced Planning solution suite includes i2 Merchandise Financial Planning, a scalable solution designed to execute a closed-loop planning process which, retailers can use to build financial, product and store plans, as well as develop pre-assortment option plans that guide the assortment breadth and mix; i2 Buying and Assortment Management, a solution that enables buying and planning from the early conceptual stage to the final creation of market-tailored store assortments; and i2 Allocation and Replenishment Management, a solution that helps retailers meet increasing expectations for in-stock levels and inventory productivity.
Parallel to planning, the transportation function poses as another supply chain challenge to retailers. In response to this, i2 offers its new Transportation solutions which enable retailers to design, procure, plan, execute, monitor and measure global freight movements across inbound and outbound operations.
i2 claims its transportation tools are designed to deliver faster time-to-value to retailers and allow them to implement innovative transportation management processes that are specific to their unique operating environment.
All i2’s new solutions for retail and transportation are built on the i2 Agile Business Process Platform, a service-oriented IT environment. In this environment, standardized application components, such as data models, business rules, user interfaces and business workflows, can be quickly assembled and adapted to meet company-specific business and market needs.
