Quest Software, Inc. has announced two products that will expand its portfolio of unified communications support products. The two products, MessageStats and Active Roles Server now include support for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.
"Quest is committed to providing innovative products that help customers get more value from their existing Microsoft unified communications investments," says Yancey Smith, director, Office Communications Server Product Management at Microsoft Corp. "These new additions are no exception. Both enhance the administration and management experience and give people a deeper view into their unified communications solutions."
In addition to Microsoft Exchange Server, MessageStats now can report about Office Communications Server 2007 via a new report pack. Other features include a common reporting console and format for Exchange Server and Office Communications Server 2007, and business-focused reports that verify how Office
Quest Active Roles Server includes rules and workflow controls that format and monitor changes to personal information in Active Directory. Active Roles Server is also able to provision and de-provision Office Communications Server users.
"The single biggest factor for IT decision-makers to make their businesses more responsive is getting people to work together more effectively and collaboratively. On the software side, Microsoft is trying to get enterprise software makers to embed its presence technology in their products," says Joe Gare, Windows Management Technical Specialist, Quest Software India. "Quest is aggressively moving into this market and re-developing our popular Exchange Server products to include support for Office Communications Server."
