Siemon, a network cabling solutions provider, has introduced a 10G 6A F/UTP version of its MapIT intelligent infrastructure management solution. Siemon's end-to-end MapIT solution is designed to help IT professionals manage their networks, improve documentation, enhance security, improve productivity and reduce downtime. The solution utilises a powerful combination of software and specially designed, sensor-enabled connecting hardware to track any changes made to the physical layer and provides location information for any IP-enabled device connected to the network. The MapIT solution also features comprehensive network documentation tools, simplifying both regulatory compliance and troubleshooting.
Siemon's 10G 6A F/UTP MapIT system meets all channel requirements dictated by the IEEE 802.3an standard. The end-to-end 10Gb/s solution consists of a smaller diameter F/UTP cable and screened tool-less MAX modules as well as sensor-enabled MapIT patch panels and screened 10G 6A MC patch cords. The system is supported by multiple work area faceplates and surface mount options in addition to the Siemon data centre/ telecom room rack and cable management products. The 10G 6A F/UTP MapIT also carries an inclusive 20 year system warranty when installed by a Siemon Certified Installer.
"The integration of MapIT into a category 6A screened cabling solution is a natural step. The same user base that demands the performance headroom and crosstalk resistance of a screened 10Gb/s cabling solution typically understands the network management efficiencies and security benefits of an intelligent patching solution," said Rajesh Kumar, country manager, Siemon.
