According to Teradata, Vivento Customer Services (VCS) is using the business intelligence (BI) capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server 2005, including SQL Server 2005 integration services and SQL Server 2005 analysis services in combination with a Teradata enterprise data warehouse.

The combination benefits VCS, enabling real-time access to the company’s entire production data, as well as user acceptance and cost savings on BI tools, claims Teradata.

"The combination of the data warehouse and SQL Server 2005 allows users at VCS to access data more dynamically and easily. In addition, this new solution provides a high degree of flexibility within the familiar Office environment to our departments," said Christof Koch, project manager, Data Management, VCS.

Teradata partnered Microsoft Corporation, earlier this year, to enable the interoperability between the Teradata database and Microsoft SQL Server BI solution.
