Epicor Software Corporation has announced that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has successfully completed implementation of its Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.
The ICC selected Epicor last year, to streamline the sports body’s budgeting, analysis, tournament accounting and overall financial management functions.
"It was important for us to leverage the advantages enterprise technology brings at a time of dynamic growth for the ICC," Faisal Hasnain, chief financial officer of the ICC, commented on the successful implementation of the Epicor solution. "Epicor has strengthened our financial management by giving us a clear end-to-end control over funds flow and its administration as the ICC’s operational footprint expands rapidly in line with the growth of the game of cricket."
Elaborating on the benefits, Hasnain added, "The benefits have been across the board—a marked improvement in report generation, user-friendliness and, in the case of budgeting, it is beneficial that the Epicor solution allows us to forecast and compare on our budget base," he said.
The ICC implementation was spearheaded by Scan Technologies, Epicor’s channel partner in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). "The ICC is a unique and milestone customer for Epicor in the region," said Basil Daniells, regional director for Epicor Software, Middle East, North Africa and India. "The ICC’s endorsement of Epicor is a reflection of how organisations with multinational operations are able to run our enterprise solutions to automate business processes that are currently executed manually to significantly improve efficiency. Epicor solutions are highly functional, scalable and flexible, and are well designed for growing midmarket companies and global organisations. We are confident our solution is suited to support the ICC as they continue to grow."
