SAP has announced that NTPC, India’s thermal power generating company, has recently gone live on SAP ERP implementation. Titled project ‘Lakshya’, the pilot implementation of the project at Ramagundam, Faridabad, Koldam, NCR HQ and Corporate were completed in a span of 10 months.

NTPC will use applications from the SAP Utilities solution portfolio including wall-to-wall implementation of the core SAP ERP, IS-U, Business Analytics, SEM, SRM, Enterprise Portal, and C-Folders for project-based collaborations across all locations of NTPC.

The SAP solution is expected to help NTPC achieve faster exchange of information, improved productivity and reduction of costs, better data consistency, knowledge sharing and unification of planning and budgeting process. The project was implemented by a team of SAP experts from SAP India Consulting and SISL.
