AMD has announced the opening of a second research and design facility in Hyderabad. The new 30,000 square-foot center will focus on AMD graphics and computing solutions.

"India’s talented pool of engineering resources makes it one of the most important technology centres in the world. AMD’s inauguration of our fourth R&D facility in India and second in Hyderabad is recognition of the caliber of talent and design expertise that resides within the country," said Meyer. "The sheer creativity and energy of the teams in India gives me confidence that we have our resources in the right place globally."

Dasaradha Gude, vice President and managing director of the Hyderabad Research & Development Centre joined Meyer at the opening ceremonies. "The original Hyderabad centre has been working on leading edge technology over the last four years. Those designs are in many of the most popular consumer electronic devices today," said Gude. "We are very proud of our achievements in very high-end, intensive design work. The new office showcases how we have grown and will continue to contribute to AMD in the future."
