Imation India has launched a sleek, compact Apollo Portable Hard Drive at a recent channel meet held by the company in Delhi. Based on 2.5-inch hard drive technology, the USB-powered Apollo Portable Hard Drive is lightweight, stylish and extremely durable with up to 320GB storage capacity.
Imation has also reemphasised its plans to transform itself into a brand and product management company focussing on its three flagship brands of storage products, viz. Imation, Memorex and TDK and strengthen its position in the digital storage space across various verticals.
Sanjay Koul, country manager (India and SAARC), Imation India, said, "We are aiming at evolution of all aspects of our operations in India. We have just finalised the restructuring of our organization and are confident that it will further strengthen our performance."
Weighing just half a pound, the ultra-slim design of the Apollo Portable Hard Drive easily fits in the palm of your hand or a jacket pocket for convenience on the go and offers significant storage and backup space with 160GB, 250GB, 320GB and 500GB of capacity for storing data, photos, music and videos.
"USB-powered portable hard drives find favour with almost everyone these days because of their huge capacity, ease of use, small size, reliability and cost-effectiveness. Since the demand from B and C class cities for portable hard drives is on an incessant swell, the Apollo Portable Hard Drive will further strengthen our product portfolio and will satisfy those who have an appetite for large digital storage," said Koul.
Featuring Total Media Backup software that's easy to install and use, the Apollo Portable Hard Drive is preconfigured to backup all types of digital files. Designed for use with both PC and Mac systems, desktops and laptops, the drive offers backup, schedule, synchronise and restore functions with just a click of the mouse.
For added convenience when traveling, the drive is USB 2.0 powered; neither batteries nor an external power supply are required. A blue LED light indicates when data transfer is in process so you know when backups are complete.
