Wipro Technologies has just announced the launch of a new Integrated Publishing Platform (IPP) for the Media, Publishing and Information Services companies. The solution is designed to build an integrated supply chain across the content value chain and help Publishing and Information Services companies to reduce "time-to-publish" across creation, management and distribution functions.
Built around Wipro’s workflow framework, Flow-briX, IPP leverages company’s MarkLogic Server to facilitate increased collaboration and agility across processes, products, tools and people in the Publishing life cycle.
The Flow-briX framework streamlines multi-channel production and content driven workflows while the MarkLogic server brings a combination of XML-centric content management and intelligent content delivery capabilities to the IPP. According to Wipro, this combination translates into a seamless and unified content supply chain.
"There are a host of products which are used across various functions of the content life cycle in a Publishing organization. IPP will provide a unified integration platform between discrete systems in the Publishing ecosystem and thereby helps publishers significantly reduce production costs and speed time-to-market," said Manoj Punja, senior vice president, Wipro Technologies.
