Alvarion Ltd, a provider of WiMAX and wireless broadband solutions, is extending its presence in India. The company is bringing wireless broadband solutions adapted specifically to the local frequencies, with the support of its partners, Cyberstar and WirelessTech.

As mentioned in the official press release, at 5.825-5.875 GHz frequency bands, Alvarion offers its BreezeACCESS VL for point-to-multipoint and BreezeNET B for point-to-point connectivity. State wide area network (SWAN) projects and vertical markets including, ISPs, public safety, surveillance, etc can benefit from this products.

Alvarion’s products are approved by the Wireless Planning & Coordination (WPC) Wing of the Ministry of Communications, India. The products features includes non- line of- sight (NLOS), extended reach, high-capacity in all packet sizes, encryption, and end-to end QoS for time critical applications.
