Blue Coat Systems, a provider of secure content and application delivery, has announced a software upgrade for its family of SG appliances for WAN optimisation.

The new software simplifies deployments with seamless network integration, dynamic clustering and failover options, high levels of security and integrated remote client.

"With the new version of software for SG appliances, Blue Coat takes a major step in making WAN optimization ready for broad enterprise deployments," said Alagu Periyannan, chief technology officer, Blue Coat Systems.
