Telsima To Ship 10,000 WiMAX Base Station Sectors
By: Biztech2 Staff  |  Sep 19, 2007

Telsima has announced contracts with Tier-1 operators and that it will be shipping a total of 10,000 WiMAX base station sectors and 100,000 WiMAX subscriber stations in 2007.

The equipment shipping is part of company’s line of WiMAX Forum certified base stations and subscriber stations that support Telsima’s D+E Dual Mode for a smooth migration to 802.16e-2005 compliant Mobile WiMAX networks.

In addition, the company announced its complete line of standards-based Mobile WiMAX base stations and subscriber equipment as well as a new architecture that is currently undergoing field trials by Tier-1 operators. Called the TRUFLE ASN mobility framework, it enables nomadic and portable solutions.

TRUFLE ASN allows for operators to operate 802.16e network with fixed and mobile users and to migrate to a fully Mobile WiMAX network based on their business needs. This new architecture is NWG compatible, allowing operators to upgrade the network to Profile A or C compliant Mobile WiMAX while leveraging their initial infrastructure investment.

Telsima’s TRUFLE ASN architecture uses an ASN Control System (ASN-CS) in addition to the base stations.
