IBM India has announced its operations in Bhopal, as part of its expansion plans to enter 14 new cities in the country, Nashik, Nagpur, Surat, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Dehradun, Vizag and Madurai; with Coimbatore, Goa and Lucknow already being operational.
Ramesh Narasimhan, director – Global Small & Medium Business (GSMB), IBM India, said, "Opening operations in Bhopal is a reflection of IBM's continued commitment to working closely with SMBs throughout India to empower them with world class technology; thus paving their way to success."
"Bhopal, a strong manufacturing and resource hub for many industries will be an important market for IBM and this initiative will further cement our commitment to deliver things faster and better to our customers,” Narasimhan added.
IBM's operations in Bhopal will target various clients in the government, education, defense and software development sectors.
