IBM has announced the launch of “Partner Sales Support Centre”, a new initiative from IBM Systems and Technology Group designed to provide IBM Business Partners throughout India with services specific to sales opportunities. The Partner Sales Support Centre is a centralised team operating from IBM that will help business partners with product positioning, competitive updates, customised customer configuration, and customised product pricing. IBM teams based in the North, South, East and West will help business partners in those regions determine the best technologies for their customers and will help strengthen collaboration with IBM.
The Partner Sales Support Centre initiative comes on the heels of the realignment of IBM System and Technology Group from a product centric model to a customer centric model. IBM STG is now focused on aligning closely with customers’ needs in order to provide complete end-to-end solutions that address their constantly changing business requirements, and the Partner Sales Support Centre is the latest example of this realignment.
Ajay Mittal, Country Manager – Volume Business, Systems and Technology Group IBM India/ SA said, “The goal of the Partner Sales Support Centre is to help our Business Partners become better consultants who understand the specific needs of their customers. Given the constantly changing needs of our customers throughout India, both large and small, it is our responsibility to arm our Business Partners with the right information to address these needs. Our geo-expansion to 14 new cities last year will help us penetrate and reach more partners.”
The Partner Sales Support Centre will assist Business Partners with queries related to all Systems and Technology Group products and will be available throughout the week, Monday-Friday, during working hours through a toll-free number or via email.
