Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited (L&T Infotech), an IT consulting and services organization and a wholly-owned subsidiary of $4.5 billion plus L&T recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dassault Systèmes (DS) a player in the product life cycle management (PLM) software solution space.

The MoU was signed through a video conference attended by V K Magapu, chief executive, L&T Infotech; whole-time director and member of the board, L&T, at Powai, Mumbai and Bruno Latchague, executive vice president, Development and Support,  Industry Solutions, Dassault Systèmes, in Paris.

L&T aims to offer consulting, development and implementation services around DS end-to-end PLM portfolio. The first implementation from the partnership will be for the Heavy Engineering Division of L&T for a range of DS products to provide knowledge management and reduced cycle time for engineering design and product delivery.

"L&T Infotech proposes to be a global force in manufacturing IT Solutions. We plan to offer PLM business solutions starting with NPI (new product introduction) and ending with End of life support," said V K Magapu.
