Novell has appointed Naresh Shah as the managing director of Novell’s India Development Centre in Bangalore. Shah is also the vice president of Global Engineering Strategy at Novell.

Prior to joining Novell, Shah was a product manager for Lucent for Mexico. After returning from the US, he was appointed as the managing director of Lucent’s Bell Labs facility in Pune. Subsequently, he was moved to its Bangalore facility as the director and head of India PRC. His last appointment at Lucent was as sales vice president in Mumbai.

On his new position, Shah commented, "Novell's India Development Centre is the second largest R&D center for Novell worldwide and it is continuing its rapid expansion plans through an aggressive hiring program. I am looking forward to helping the team deliver value to our customers globally, through Novell's open enterprise software."
