Oracle will form a research and development (R&D) network for its 19 centres across Asia Pacific and Japan to build, test and showcase technology innovations.
The new single network will link 19 development and solution centres - six Oracle Asia R&D Centres (OARDC) in India, Japan, Korea, Singapore and two in China as well as 13 solution centres in the Asia-Pacific region. These centres focus on developing solutions for the local markets in addition to contributing to global product development.
"This new collaboration will enhance our Asia Pacific innovation development process as well as benefit our customers and partners in the region," said Kevin Walsh, chief technology officer, Oracle (Asia Pacific and Japan).
The OARDC would focus on product development, solution development, strategic projects and partner enablement.
The Asia Pacific and Japan R&D network is also linked into the global Oracle development centres worldwide.
