Anupam Saraph Appointed As First CIO For Pune Municipal Corporation

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Software Exporter’s Association of Pune (SEAP) has announced the appointment of Pune’s first ever Chief Information Officer (CIO), Dr. Anupam Saraph. Dr. Saraph’s appointment has been made with the objective of adding weight to the e-governance project implementation underway in Pune and to enhance Pune’s plans to transform into one of the most technologically advanced cities of the future. Praveen Singh Pardeshi, Municipal Commissioner, Pune attended the signing of the MoU at Persistent Systems office in Pune alongwith SEAP President, Nitin Deshpande.
Dr. Anupam Saraph has served as a Vice-Chairman of a mid-sized Public Sector undertaking in India, as Chairman of an independent Think Tank, and as Chairman of several government and business commissions and committees. He is a life-member of several professional bodies and associations including the Balaton Group, the Computer Society of India, and the Pune Management Association.
