By: Biztech2 Staff  |  Oct 29,2007

Tata group firm Videsh Sanchar Nigam has said it will preview its wireless broadband service at a four-day event, beginning today, 'BangaloreIT. in 2007' hosted by the Department of IT and Karnataka government, to commercially rollout WiMAX services in Bangalore to retail customers.

"The four-day seminar cum exhibition at the BangaloreIT. in 2007 will be a platform to showcase our WiMAX service and its unique value added services and to engage with potential customers and channel partners," VSNL VP (Planning) Prateek Pashine said.

The event would give retail customers an opportunity to experience the next generation internet access, the company informed.

WiMAX enables wireless infrastructure deployment in a cost effective and decentralised manner.
