Microsoft India has unveiled a suite of integrated security and management solutions under the System Centre and Forefront brands. It is currently introducing three products – Microsoft Forefront Client Security, Microsoft System Centre Essentials 2007 and Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager 2007.

According to Tim Sinclair, general manager, Management and Solutions Division, Microsoft, "Microsoft's System Centre and Forefront are part of Microsoft's broader vision to transform IT infrastructure into a strategic asset. Through deeper integration of System Centre and Forefront solutions, security and management specialists will now be able to standardise their processes for gathering and prioritising incidents; assign resources to addressing issues and managing changes as well as resolve problems, thus providing complete control of their IT infrastructure."

Microsoft Forefront Client Security is designed to help protect business desktops, laptops and server operating systems from viruses, spyware, Trojans and other current and emerging threats.

System Centre Essentials 2007 is a unified management solution to help IT professionals in midsize organisations efficiently manage their IT environment.

The System Centre Operations Manager 2007, is an end-to-end service management solution that works seamlessly with Microsoft software and applications to increase efficiency.
