Clearswift has announced the availability of MIMEsweeper for SMTP Edge Server on IBM Blade servers and xSeries hardware. The MIMEsweeper for SMTP Edge Server is an email firewall that protects business critical infrastructures from spam, viruses and malware.
MIMEsweeper for SMTP Edge Server runs on IBM LS20, HS20, and HS21 Blade centers.
"The Edge Server allows our customers to focus on getting the most business benefits from their MIMEsweeper investment, while leaving all of the daily email noise for Clearswift to manage," stated Alyn Hockey, director of product management for Clearswift. "The Edge Server is easy to manage and maintain, and will handle the incoming threats right at the gateway. The solution means more free time for IT, and more bandwidth, more disk space, more responsiveness and more security for the entire enterprise."
Hockey added, "With our Edge Server, Notes/Domino users will now benefit from a comprehensive spam management environment, as well as from the ability to implement outbound and internal content scanning based upon robust policies already available in our MIMEsweeper for Domino 8.1 solution. The combination of the our Edge Server and MIMEsweeper for Domino delivers a complete inbound and outbound security solution to Notes/Domino users, protecting companies’ networks, employees and reputation against malicious attacks and confidential data leaks."
