Comodo, a global Certification Authority and provider of security solutions, announced the release of Comodo (V3.0.16.295) with new features.

According to the release, the key component of this next generation firewall lies in its A-VSMART technology architecture, short for "Anti; Virus, Spyware, Malware, Adware, Rootkit and Trojan". Comodo's next generation firewall claims to help customers prevent all types of threats and gives near bulletproof protection against root-kits, inter-process memory injections, key-loggers, and more from gaining computer access.

This new release of Comodo Firewall Pro provides the following enhancements:

Anti-Leak Configuration :
A new default configuration is introduced to make D+ show fewer number of popup alerts while still remaining leak proof.
On-Demand Virus Scanning :
CFP now provides an option to scan for viruses during the installation and from its graphical user interface
Default Configuration :
Default configuration now protects more registry keys and more COM interfaces.
Default Web Browser and FTP Client policies are modified to support passive FTP requests
