F-Secure, Sify Partner For Data Security Solutions To Broadband Users

F-Secure Corporation has announced its cooperation with Sify Consumer Broadband to provide data security to the company’s subscribers. With this latest partnership F-Secure security services are now available to about 50% of India’s broadband customers through four of the leading Internet Service Providers in the country. Sify will offer its customers F-Secure’s entire suite of security solutions.
Jari Heinonen, Vice President, APAC for F-Secure said, "F-Secure has been developing its presence in the Indian market very systematically and this cooperation with Sify is critical for us. We can now offer the possibility to nearly 50% of the Indian broadband users to take advantage of the opportunities of the Internet safely. Our aim is to provide an easy and user-friendly experience for the subscribers without the hassle of keeping the security solution up to date."
He added, "We are very pleased to start working with Sify in this important value added service area. Our task, together with Sify, is also to educate the market regarding the best practices for protecting data and devices when using the Internet. It is very important that players like Sify encourage their customers to use a security solution that is very convenient as it is an integral part of their broadband service."
