IronPort Systems has announced the introduction of the IronPort X1050 e-mail security appliance.

The IronPort X1050 claims to offer a significant increase in performance, scanning more
than 2.5 million messages per hour. This throughput allows IronPort appliances to deal with the growing volume of spam, and apply more CPU processing to each message, enabling more advanced spam filtering algorithms. The X1050 also features monitoring, reporting and management capabilities.
