McAfee, Inc. has announced rapid customer adoption of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 4.0 ePO(TM), the platform that lets enterprises and governments centrally manage security and compliance products from multiple vendors. Within its first three months of shipping, the new version of ePO has proven to be a powerful tool for providing intelligent security and optimizing compliance management, claimed the company press release.
Atos Origin, an international information technology services company, uses McAfee ePO 4.0 to deliver and manage its AntiVirus service. "Without ePO 4.0, we would be less efficient, toggling between endpoint, network, data, Web and e-mail security," said Martin Reindl business unit leader, system security, Atos Origin Germany. "Now, our IT staff has a clear view of the full range of security products in our environment. They can be more efficient, and thus more proactive in securing our customers' infrastructure.”
Unisys, a managed security services provider also recently announced the availability of its endpoint security offering based on McAfee ePO 4.0 managed Total Protection and Data Loss Prevention solutions. Sharing his experience of McAfee ePO, Neil Baird, senior client systems analyst for Health Services at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics said, "We were able to easily and simply migrate our 5600 end users to McAfee ePO in just minutes as opposed to hours or even days. The customised reports and dashboard views have been a lifesaver. We receive detailed information that allows us to take action quickly and efficiently.”
