Tata Teleservices has announced a strategic partnership with RSA, the security division of EMC that will help facilitate TTSL's approach to security operations. As a first step in this partnership, TTSL has selected the RSA enVision platform for compliance and security information management.
This decision will allow TTSL to derive benefits that cover the automation of the audit trail consolidation process; a real-time assessment of the threat landscape; and the reporting and compliance metrics. The agreement extends to covering RSA's two-factor authentication technology, RSA SecurID, which TTSL intends to employ to protect access by users to critical information assets, both from within and outside the enterprise.
According to Arthur W. Coviello, junior executive VP, EMC Corporation and president, RSA, "Information is growing at a rapid pace and organisations are facing increasing operational challenges and regulatory expectations that are driving the need for real-time information management and information intelligence capabilities. The long-term retention of such information is an equally important consideration. We are working with leaders like TTSL to maximise and optimise the utility of information so that it is genuinely an asset – and never a liability."
