SonicWALL, announced that its PRO 2040 firewall running Unified Threat Management (UTM) services is a recipient of InfoWorld's 2007 Technology of the Year honours, winning the award for 'Best Unified Threat Management (UTM)' in the Security category.

In a special report featuring its selection of the best and most innovative hardware and software products of the year, InfoWorld noted, "The SonicWall PRO provides the best all-around mix of features and functionality among the UTM appliances we've tested. Setup and policy creation are straightforward, and UTM services work across all traffic types in all situations."

IDG's InfoWorld, the media brand for IT solutions management, announced the recipients of its 2007 Technology of the Year honours, recognizing 41 products across 40 categories. The annual awards identify the highest scoring products and technologies, as reviewed in the past year by the InfoWorld Test Center.
