HP has unveiled HP ProLiant DL180, which according to the company is the first product made exclusively for Asia.
Available in Asia Pacific and powered by the new Dual Core and Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors, the HP ProLiant DL180 server claims to offer maximum performance while controlling costs, with the lowest cost per gigabit (Gb) of data in its class.
Its new 2U chassis and the 2Gb DIMM memory option kit are specifically designed to support the computing needs of growing businesses. In addition, the server claims to meets the needs of network service providers looking to manage the networking, gaming, mail and messaging, file and print and data storage applications of their customers.
Tony Parkinson, vice president and general manager, Industry Standard Servers, HP Asia Pacific and Japan said, “The product is custom made for the Asian market keeping in mind the price sensitive segment of the customers in this region. Targeted at the mid market, the product is apt for any SMB enterprise that wants to opt for a rack server in an affordable range, with tremendous storage capacity.”
The HP ProLiant DL180 reportedly comes equipped with essential management features allowing network administrators to easily check and update servers from a remote location.
