Global information technology service provider Patni Computer Systems announced the formation of its consulting service practice within its manufacturing business unit.

Sanjiv Bhatia, a former managing director of Bearing Point has been appointed the vice-president of the newly formed consulting service practice.

The new consulting service practice will offer manufacturers a full spectrum of solutions designed to improve business performance and corporate competitiveness through strategies, process and tools delivered by experienced consultants.

Patni’s consulting services capabilities will include supply chain, merger integration covering operational and IT due diligence, deal risk assessment, post-merger acquisition and post-transition consultancy.

The consultancy service will also provide technology advisory services, enterprise information management and value engineering.
