HP StorageWorks has announced a range of new storage offerings specifically designed for midsize and growing businesses.
The suite of storage offerings including HP DL380 G5 Storage Server, HP 6000 Virtual Library System, HP StorageWorks IP Distance Gateway and HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System cater to the business requirements of data consolidation and business continuity.
According to the release, the HP DL380 G5 Storage Server is an easy way for customers to add file storage to their network. This solution supports multiple file sharing protocols, so businesses can consolidate and make a single centralised platform to manage, protect and create a scalable disk-based backup/replication target.
The HP 6000 Virtual Library System claims to simplify the SAN environment by providing more virtual devices, reducing the complexity of shared storage while maintaining the manageability of a single system. This system offers backup and recovery that integrates into the customer’s existing environment providing improved performance and reliability of the data protection process.
The HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System works with the businesses backup software application to fully automate daily backup jobs, requiring less manual handling.
