EPiServer Eyes Indian Enterprises For Its CMS Tools
By: Chirasrota Jena  |  Nov 21,2007

In order to be a part of the Web 2.0 revolution across the globe and especially in India, EPiServer is determined to become a major player in the web Content Management Solution (CMS) segment by appointing new partners. The company recently tied up with MindTree Consulting and plans to increase its partner list from six to 40 within one and half years. The company is eyeing the mid markets in India and is in discussions with two large banks for providing content management solutions.

The company has also set up an R&D facility and its Asia pacific business operations hub in Bangalore and the team has already started some pilot projects. This team will not only cater to the needs of Indian customers but also its customers in Europe.

The company is eyeing the booming BFSI, retail and FMCG sectors in India and especially SMEs for its Web 2.0 solutions. According to Sunny Ghosh, president, EPiServer India, “We are creating an ecosystem to tap those areas, which have not yet been reached. We are also talking with two large partners in the retail and FMCG sector to be part of our partner team.”

NASSCOM and Knowledge Management Community of Bangalore are the customers of EPiServer. EPiServer is optimistic about the growth of Web 2.0 companies and has launched a Warm Website Initiative.

Explains Ghosh, “The Warm Website Initiative is an alliance programme, which ties several large global product vendors in building this experience and is a direct effort to mimic the premium experience a potential customer gets when walking into an exclusive store using the EPiServer Web Platform. This will help the customers to get closer to the website visitors. And serve them in a better way.”

The company has launched the EPiServer CMS 5 with some enhanced features so that the enterprises can integrate the external web with their internal web links. This will not only help organisations to collaborate its employees across organisational boundaries but will also help companies to connect their websites to CRM application to reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
