Not exactly “Google PC”, but Dell has announced that they will start selling PCs that will have Google software (like Google Desktop, Google Talk, etc.) pre-installed. The PCs will obviously still run Microsoft Windows, but “Google software” can also mean Mozilla Firefox with Google Toolbar as the default browser, pushing aside the plagued Internet Explorer, which is quite a setback for Microsoft. Google will be paying Dell a small fee per PC for putting their software, which Google will earn back in a few clicks on Google ads. Everyone's happy. Except Microsoft, of course.
I make people switch to Firefox from Internet Explorer, but if other manufacturers start following Dell, I won't have to!

I own an Apple Ipod. When connected to PC I find it as Hard Drive which can be defragmented. Should I defrag my IPOD also.

I am a Masters student at the London School of Economics, and am currently working on an LSE research project regarding the Apple iPod. The research work is qualitative study to analyze the diffusion of this innovation into society. Having, seen your show on many an occasion, I believe your views on technology are interesting, and incorporating them into the research would add value to it.
I would be grateful if you agree to me sending you an email with some official questions (where I would need permission to quote you) and also an online survey regarding the iPod. Let me know, if this would be possible. Please note that the survey is not time-consuming and seeks a purely personal opinion.
Kind regards,
Rohit George

I was tryin' to look for CNBC india amongst the various indian channels we get here in London, but dint find it ... !
Good that the shows are being streamed live over the net .. ! I can now watch the tech show / young turks episodes regularly !
I must say that, the streaming should improve ... i was watching the tech show last weekend (when you visit microsoft ... climb that tree, etc !)and it got really frustrating trying to watch it on high speed settings (even when I am on one!)
the smaller screen/slower connection settings does provide somewhat better performance, but it still isnt contiguous !
strongly advocate the idea of having an archives section, so that .. i-watch-when-i-want ! and it might just help improve streaming performance !
