RCA has released their new flash-based camcorder, the EZ201 Small Wonder. The camcorder weighs just 5.25 ounces. It's equipped with a flip-out 1.5-inch LCD display, has 512 MB of internal memory but it does have the capacity to extend memory using an external SD card.
"The EZ201 Small Wonder represents the next evolution in simplifying video recording, editing, archiving, and sharing. We’ve listened to our consumers' needs, and have created a product that offers the perfect video recording solution for a myriad of users – anyone who needs a convenient, affordable, and pocket-sized video recording solution," said Dan Collishaw, Chief Operating Officer of RCA Audio/Video. "We are committed to providing consumers with features that make products easier —not harder—to use and to enjoy."
The EZ201 is compatible with Box.net's online storage and file sharing service. The software allows the user to capture still images from videos. The device is powered by 2 AA cells. Since this is targeted at being an affordable camcorder, it's priced at just around Rs. 4900 ($119.99) with apparently a 1GB SD card included with the packaging.
