The Sony Cyber-shot S-Series has expanded with the launch of two new models – the S780 and the S750. With 3x optical zoom and 8.1 megapixels, the S780 produces detail-packed images that can be blown up to A3-sized prints. Even more affordably priced is the S750, which offers a resolution of 7.2 effective megapixels.
In an S-Series first, both cameras now feature Face Detection. This Sony-developed technology can track up to three faces in the frame at a time, adjusting focus and exposure for clearly exposed portraits of friends and family.
Both digicams let you capture clear, blur-free pictures without the aid of flash if you’re shooting in low light or on cloudy days. Selecting 'High Sensitivity' mode on the mode dial boosts sensitivity to ISO 1250. This allows shooting at faster shutter speeds to reduce the risk of camera shake, even with moving subjects.
The S750 model will ship in March for about $150, and the S780 will be available in April for about $180.
