From waterproof iPod Docks with speakers, waterproof earphones and camcorders we’ve seen it all. Now here’s another one for the list - Speedo’s new 1GB waterproof MP3 player. The player called the Aquabeat (kinda catchy no?) is manufactured by iRiver, weighs in at just about 35 grams and is capable of withstanding pressures up to a depth of 3 meters below the surface.
In case you’re swimming and happen to have jiggled the player free, no worries as the player will simply float to the surface. According to iRiver, the Aquabeat should be able to provide users with up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge. For the fashion conscious the Aquabeat is also available in colors so you don’t have to be afraid of a fashion disaster because your waterproof DAP clashed with your swimsuit.
iRiver’s Speedo Aquabeat player is available for about Rs. 6,188 ($145) but there’s no word of its availability in India.

i just put my mp3 device in a ziplock bag when i'm swimming, i'd buy the waterproof headphones though.
