Wii to Get DVD Player
By: Nikhil Singh   |   Nov 14, 2006

When the Wii's 'final' specifications were out last month, I wonder how many people noticed that it lacked a DVD Player. Now, since the Xbox 360 and PS3 had a built in multimedia player, Nintendo doesn't want to stay behind in the race, so they've hired Sonic to hook them up with a DVD playing software by late 2007, that will help them deliver the 'Ultimate Movie Viewing to the New-Generation Gaming Console' (according to Sonic's website).

For those of you who don't know about Sonic, this was the company behind the pretty popular CD and DVD burning software called Roxio, that I'm sure quite a few of you must have used it.
