Alan Wake Delayed to 2008?
By: Avinash Bali   |   Dec 07, 2006

Remember Max Payne? Yes, the same game that revolutionized the action genre with bullet time and all that? Well unfortunately, we still don't know if we'll ever get a Max Payne 3, but the game's developer, Remedy has been busy working on a survival horror game called Alan Wake, and if official US Xbox magazine, OXM is to be believed, you'll have to wait till 2008 for a glimpse of the action. In case you have no clue as to what this game's about, read this, and then feel bad that it's been delayed:

Set in the deceptively idyllic town of Bright Falls, Alan Wake immerses players in an intense and expansive cinematic world that enables players to roam freely in hyper-realistic, dynamic and interactive environments. "Alan Wake" is mission-based with a deeply engaging and suspenseful story line unveiling new twists and profound character revelations at every turn. Players will unravel the riveting plot through multilayered character interactions, unique problem-solving and intense combat against terrifying enemies. In this nightmarish world, Alan Wake must use a variety of weapons to survive, including his most powerful ally against the creatures of darkness — light itself.

Feeling bad already?

The game runs best in quad cores where every core is used in a different way, the demo they showed recently was great. And i think they know that quad cores will be a luxury for sometime and releasing this game in around 2008 would be better.
